Dr. Josh Plummer

PT, DPT, CSCS, FMS, USAW

Josh received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland at College Park, followed by his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore. With a special interest in sports orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy, Josh began his career in Howard County at an outpatient orthopedic office. There, he developed strong relationships with local orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and other key resources crucial for comprehensive patient care. As part of his journey to provide exceptional care, Josh co-founded Impact Sports Physical Therapy, aiming to provide elite care for elite athletes.

To enhance his treatment arsenal, Josh has trained in Functional Dry Needling through Kinetacore and was one of the first practitioners in Maryland to receive training in Blood Flow Restriction therapy. He has also earned continuing education certifications in Functional Movement Screening, becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Titleist Performance Institute Medical Certification, and receiving a USA weightlifting coaching certification for all Olympic and accessory lifts.

Josh’s commitment to excellence is evident in his ongoing education and his dedication to providing the best possible care for his patients.
